Digital Awareness of pupils

This project aims to develop digital uses in National Education and training, and promote new technologies by supporting teachers and strengthening educational facilitation with the aim of appropriating digital tools among secondary schools students and young audiences. Several secondary schools within the remit of the urban community of Saint-Quentin were approached to benefit from this program.

The main objective of this action is to fight against the lack of digital skills, the digital divide, illectronism and vulnerable young audiences by strengthening support for digital public policies already present in our territory through the establishment of digital educational workshops in situ and ex situ through the use of Bilbot humanoid robotic kits.

The other objective is to use digital techniques as a powerful lever for educational transformation likely to change teaching methods, improve learning and promote student success.

The challenge for the school system is to train the citizens and professionals of tomorrow in digital technology, who otherwise would not be able to carry out most professions, or even integrate into society.

This project will allow students to learn digital techniques with a view to their civic and professional integration, to improve pedagogy through the use of digital services and resources in the classroom, but also to promote equal opportunities. It will facilitate cross-curricular teaching, relations between teachers and students and will raise awareness of digital uses among young audiences.

This project will involve three phases:

  1. Implementation of introductory workshops to programming and 3D printing.
  2. Extension of the first phase by adding an introduction to virtual reality.
  3. Implementation of connected objects workshops.
