High Speed Machining

3-axis

The milling cutter and the workpiece are mounted on slides and can move relatively along X Y or Z coordinates (this is called a three-axis milling machine)

4-axis

The operating principle is the same as for 3-axis milling, but with a roraty table.

5-axis

A 5-axis milling machine always has 3 linear axis (X, Y, Z) and 2 rotary axis.
