Génération + Biodiv project

The Génération + biodiv scheme is part of the Générations Hauts-de-France regional project for high schools, which marks the region's commitment to support the education of young people in the field of Biodiversity.

It is in this context that PFT Innovaltech, associated with biotechnology, health, environment and IT teachers  from the Lycée Condorcet, will make the educational community aware of eco-responsibility around the Connected Beehive project.

To do so, two connected hives of European black bees were installed within the premices. Seven people within the school staff were initiated into the profession of beekeeping to become “bee shepherds”.

This project includes several challenges, as much for the educational team as for the pupils and will allow to monitor the state of health of the bees, to propose to the high school pupils and students a case study and to associate with several beekeepers in order to allow the various stakeholders to take advantage of the data collected and offer a new monitoring and diagnosis tool.
